Courses
Each semester, the Latino/a Studies office compiles listings of Duke courses relevant to the field. We encourage students to enroll in these courses, as well as those offered by the Duke Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies and the UNC-CH Latina/o Studies program.
We continue to enroll students for the new undergraduate certificate, "Latino/a Studies inthe Global South." The Intro course, offered for the first time in Spring '09, is taught by the Director of the Certificate Program, Antonio Viego. Students interested in the certificate are strongly encouraged to take this introductory course first, and then complete the remaining requirements, followed by the capstone course. Courses taken out of sequence, however, may still count - please contact jennysw@duke.edu to sign up for the certificte and/or to inquire about courses. Additionally, this semester we are happy to offer a new Special Topics course taught by the Latino/a Studies Postdoctoral Associate, Prof. Monika Gosin.
For additions or corrections to the course list, please contact jennysw@duke.edu.
